April 29th, 2010 by No comments

The Yankees will try to close their nine game road trip with a winning record tonight when they complete the three game series against the Sluggish Orioles.

For one to say that the Orioles have struggled this year is a major understatement. The Orioles are a dismal 4-16 on the season and they are just 1-6 at home. The team isn’t exactly stocked full of young stars that have the fan base preparing for better years anytime soon either.

The Yankees are the big favorite in this one, and deservedly so. The Orioles have a chance here, but they’ll need Matusz to pitch a gem. Read more…

The Rays try for a fourth consecutive victory to sweep a brief two-game home series with the Athletics on Wednesday. Off to the best start in its 13-year history, the Rays (15-5) beat the Athletics 8-6 on Tuesday to match the club record for wins in April. The Athletics hope Dallas Braden (3-0, 2.77 ERA) can cool off the Rays bats and continue his success against the Rays. LA Dodgers @ NY Mets Betting Action

April 26th, 2010 by No comments

The New York Mets started the baseball betting season just like most sports wagering fans expected: terribly. After losing most of their games during the first two weeks of the MLB odd action something strange started to happen. The Mets started to win, and win some more and now, heading into the second game of three-game baseball betting series with the LA Dodgers the Mets have won four games in a row and will looking for a fifth straight victory.

This is something quite unusual for this team which has suffered through one disappointing season after another during the past few MLB betting seasons. Last in particular was awful for NY Mets fans as the team was among the worst in the NL baseball betting. But after acquiring a few free agent bats in the off season and keeping their pitching staff healthy the Mets are finally playing a like with the front office hoped it would be when it put together this gazillion dollar payroll. Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets

April 26th, 2010 by No comments

The New York Mets are currently playing host to the LA Dodgers in an intriguing NL baseball series in the Big Apple. It probably comes as little surprise that one of these teams is in last place in their MLB odds division, but might surprise is which team. The Mets, coming off a horrendous 2009 MLB betting season and a rotten start to the 2010 baseball wagering season have actually climbed out their hole and currently sit second in the NL East.

It’s the LA Dodgers that are in last place of their baseball betting division. At 8-10 this is not where the Dodgers wanted to be after a month of MLB odds action and this team is trying to pull back into contention in a very competitive NL West. Surprisingly the San Diego Padres (11-7) have snatched the early lead in the NL West betting competition but only three games separate the first place team from the last place team. Read more…
