MLB Odds – Yankees look like repeat candidates in 2010 Baseball Betting

There is something awfully polarizing about the New York Yankees. Either you love the ‘Evil Empire’ or you hate it, but rarely will you find a baseball betting fan that is indifferent. This team inspires strong feelings either way but no matter if you adore or despise the Bronx Bombers, you can’t help but respect their success in the MLB odds.

The World Series baseball betting trophy went back to the Yankees trophy cabinet last season after fans were calling for blood after, gasp, the team missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade. So high are the MLB odds winning standards for this club that even one year of missing the post season triggered a radical spending spree and mini-baseball betting crisis in the front office.

But now, perched firmly atop the MLB odds world once again the team looks set to repeat as champs. At the plate, there was no better team in the 2009 season and that during a year when former MVP and steroid user, A-Rod, had a pretty awful year. On the mound the newly acquired free agent starters for the Yanks came on strong in the last half of the season as AJ Burnett and CC Sabathia were unstoppable.

Add to that the arrival of another quality starter in Javier Vasquez. The Yanks have won an unprecedented 27 World Series wins. That number is unrivaled in all of sports as the team has won roughly a quarter of every championship for a century. And barring any major roster moves in the next few weeks the team is the favorite to add a 28th in the upcoming 2010 season as well.
