MLB Odds – NL is up for grabs in 2010
The National League has plenty of talent heading into the 2010 season and it will be interesting to see how things pan out. The NL title seems to be up for grabs at the moment but you can be sure that the hunt for the top spot in the Junior Circuit will contain plenty of familiar names.
Over the past few seasons the Philadelphia Phillies have been one of the winningest teams in the MLB Odds. It even has a World Series ring to prove it. Philly plays in the ultra competitive NL East and has managed to dominate. With a power hitting lineup a solid rotation and finally some strength in the bull pen this team won 93 games in the 2009 season and should be able to win 90 more in 2010.
Out west the LA Dodgers were the toast of the league for the first half of the season and this squad is as talented as any team in the MLB odds. It needs to keep its starting rotation healthy and Manny under control, but there is no reason why this squad shouldn’t be in the World Series.
In the Central it’s hard to pick a winner as this division always seems to throw a few curveballs but with a healthy Albert Pujols, the reigning NL MVP, and a talented starting rotation that features several potential 20-game winners the Cards are certainly on the short-list. The Brewers and Cubs are perennial wild cards, but talented enough to make a deep playoff run.
