MLB Betting LA Angels at New York Yankees MLB Odds

It’s only the second week of the MLB betting season but already this matchup has the feel of a baseball betting playoff matchup. The LA Angels, long time kings of the hill in the AL West will head to the Big Apple to take on the reigning AL East and World Series betting champion Yankees in what could be an early season preview of the 2010 AL Championship betting matchup.

These two opposite coastal powers has been among the best teams in MLB betting over the past decade and have more than a handful of World Series betting appearances and titles between them. Both are immensely talented and both expect to feature prominently in the baseball betting postseason come October.

The Yankees are off to a much better start to the MLB wagering season having run up a record of 4-2 in the cutthroat AL East. And what’s more impressive is that all those baseball betting victories have come on the road, far from the friendly confines of the New Yankee Stadium and the ridiculously short fence in left field.

The Angels, on the other hand, have struggle din the MLB betting this season and are likely to continue to struggle at Yankee stadium. After getting off to a meager 2-5 record in the baseball betting odds action LA is already 3.5 games behind the AL West leading A’s with less than two weeks in the baseball betting season on the books.

The pitching in this MLB betting matchup should be superb with the ageless Andy Pettite on the mound for the home team Yanks dueling the Angels ace, Ervin Santana. Pettite has yet to record a win the baseball betting this year but he’s been tough to hit with a 1.50 ERA in 6.0 innings in his lone start. Santana was rocked in his previous start, a tough loss in which his ERA ballooned to 6.0.

Santana will bounce back but the New Yankee Stadium –and it’s deranged fans- is just a bit too friendly to the Yankee hitters and New York will get the baseball betting win behind another strong performance by Pettite.
