National League hitters (and baseball betting fans of any NL team, save the Phillies) would have much preferred pitching ace Roy Halladay to remain in Toronto. During his tenure north of the border Halladay was little more than a distant headline; a worry for the giants of the AL East like the Red Sox and Yankees. Out of sight out of mind.
But now that the Philadelphia Phillies traded for Halladay in the MLB betting off-season and the NL batters have to face him all year long, no team or player in the Junior League is pleased at this sports betting prospect.
For the teams and batter of the NL East betting competition things are even worse as they have to face Halladay at a much greater frequency than any of the other NL teams. Read more…
This baseball betting matchup between a 5-2 team and a 2-5 team doesn’t seem all that appealing at first glance but if the right pieces fall into place it just might turn into a can’t miss MLB odds matchup on Saturday April 18th.
The St. Louis Cardinals (5-2) have been dominating opponents so far in the young 2010 MLB betting season. The team started the year with a 4-2 road record before opening up the baseball betting action at Busch Stadium.
The New York Mets (2-5) have done just the opposite of the Red Birds in the 2010 betting odds action. This team has been a bit of a disappointment after stocking up on free agent bats in the baseball betting off season and getting its pitching staff more or less healthy. When the team heads to St Louis it will definitely have its work cut out for it and no baseball odds maker is going to give the team much of a chance in the game. Unless ace Johan Santana is pitching. Read more…

Starting pitchers are: for the Orioles , David Hernandez (0-1) and for the Athletics Ben Sheets (0-0). If the baseball betting season were to end today (an absurd prospect considering that we’re not even two weeks into the 2010 MLB betting season) the Cards would once again be NL Central champs and the Astros would once again end the MLB wagering season in the cellar. And even though there’s still may games to be played this year on the MLB betting calendar the baseball odds are very high that these two teams will finish the regular season in the same position in the standings as they are right now.
The Cards have jumped out to an early lead in the NL Central with a 5-2 record while the Astros have fallen into last place in the baseball betting division. Actually, that should be clarified. The ‘Stros haven’t just fallen into last place in the NL Central betting, they’ve fallen into last place in the entire MLB odds betting action and are the only team in the league yet to win a single game. Houston’s 0-7 start is the ultimate monument to baseball betting futility and the saddest thing about it the fact that it might be some time before this team gets a single notch in the MLB odds win column.
