Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants

The Colorado Rockies are a young MLB franchise but in the team’s brief existence it’s already provided some of the most exciting moments in baseball betting over the past two decades. The San Fran Giants, on the other hand, are one of the oldest franchises in the MLB odds action and have a long and rich tradition. The two contrasting cultures and traditions are what make baseball wagering so interesting and on May 1st these two teams will go head to head in Game 1 of a two-game MLB betting series.

The Colorado Rockies are off to a decent start this season (10-9) and are just 1.5 games behind the NL West leading San Diego Padres. But the Giants have been just a bit better in the baseball betting competition and at 10-8 is just a game behind the Padres. Both teams would love to be atop the NL West standings and one of them very well could be after this May 1st showdown in the MLB odds action. Read more…

New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

The Yankees will try to close their nine game road trip with a winning record tonight when they complete the three game series against the Sluggish Orioles.

For one to say that the Orioles have struggled this year is a major understatement. The Orioles are a dismal 4-16 on the season and they are just 1-6 at home. The team isn’t exactly stocked full of young stars that have the fan base preparing for better years anytime soon either.

The Yankees are the big favorite in this one, and deservedly so. The Orioles have a chance here, but they’ll need Matusz to pitch a gem. Read more…

MLB Odds Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves

Two of the premier teams in the NL East will go head to head in the baseball betting action on Tuesday night when the Philadelphia Phillies cruise into Hotlanta in what should be an NL East sports betting extravaganza. On April 20th the 7-5 Braves play host to the division leading Phillies (8-4) in the first game of three game MLB odd matchup.

The Phillies have picked up right where they left off last baseball betting season and have established themselves atop the NL East standings. After getting off to a great start to the MLB betting season this team has lost some ground in the past week to an up and coming Marlin team that just took a series in Philly to pull within one game of the division leaders in the baseball wagering standings. Baseball Betting Phillies at Braves MLB Odds

National League hitters (and baseball betting fans of any NL team, save the Phillies) would have much preferred pitching ace Roy Halladay to remain in Toronto. During his tenure north of the border Halladay was little more than a distant headline; a worry for the giants of the AL East like the Red Sox and Yankees. Out of sight out of mind.

But now that the Philadelphia Phillies traded for Halladay in the MLB betting off-season and the NL batters have to face him all year long, no team or player in the Junior League is pleased at this sports betting prospect.

For the teams and batter of the NL East betting competition things are even worse as they have to face Halladay at a much greater frequency than any of the other NL teams. Read more…

MLB Odds Mets at Cardinals in baseball betting

April 18th, 2010 No comments

The Mets and Cards will do battle on the baseball betting diamond on Saturday April 18th. The New York will travel to Saint Louie and try and try and derail a Card’s team that has been all but unbeatable over the first two weeks of the MLB odds action. And it will be no easy task considering how poor the Mets have looked thus far in the 2010 baseball wagering.

The Mets (2-5), unfortunately find themselves in familiar territory so far this year: last in the NL East. Last year was a baseball betting aberration, or so the Met’s faithful hoped. After being absolutely depleted by injuries it was no wonder that the team finished near the bottom of the NL betting competition. But this MLB betting season was supposed to be different. Read more…
