Tampa Bay RaysJust a year removed from Cinderella run through the baseball betting the Tampa Bay Rays fell off the MLB odds map last season. Packed with young talent and tremendous potential the team seemed poised to make the leap to legitimate baseball betting power and shed the Cinderella title.

But it didn’t happen. And while the team did salvage the season and finished with a respectable record of 84-78 it still finished third in the division, 19 games out of first in the MLB odds. This year the team hopes to get back to where it once was and challenge for an AL East title. But it’s much easier said than done considering the talent in that baseball betting division. Read more…

If you’re like most baseball betting fans you probably like a bit of competition between the teams. In the 2009 MLB odds season there was some incredibly compelling competition and some photo finishes down the stretch to lock up playoff bids. Unfortunately competition was nowhere to be found in the AL West last season.

Last year was not a good time to be a New York Mets fans. In fact, the entire past decade…no scratch that, almost the entire Mets baseball betting history, has not been a good time to be a Mets fan. Aside from the ‘Amazin’ ’69 season and some good years in the 1980s MLB odds with Straw and Gooden, there hasn’t been much to celebrate for the other team in the Big Apple.

But the most recent failures of the Mets in the baseball betting standings might be the toughest of all to swallow. The reason that the futility in the MLB odds that this team has suffered in the past few years is much more egregious is the fact that this team has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to be competitive, yet they finishes last season in the NL East baseball betting standings last season -23 games out of the first place Phillies! Baseball Betting – Love him or Hate him… A-Rod is the Man MLB Odds

March 5th, 2010 No comments

There is no doubt that New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is a controversial figure. Whether it’s the steroid admissions, his amorous endeavors with A-list celebrities, the constant coverage of his life in the New York press, or his baseball betting post-season failures, A-Rod truly is a Lightening-Rod in the MLB odds community.

But love him or hate him, there is no denying that A-Rod is not only one of the great players of today, but also one of the all time greats in the history of baseball betting. Say what you will about his personal life or his supposed ‘choke artist’ act in the post season, but his numbers in his MLB odds career are some of the best ever produced. Read more…
