May 26th, 2010 Romer Cleaver No comments

With the two teams having their first matchup on Tuesday as they actually were the underdogs in the game and still won 1-0. If that game was any indication it may be that runs scored tonight may be hard to come by. Starting for the Cardinals will be Jaime Garcia who is 4-2 with a low ERA of 1.28 with 42 Ks and 20 BBs. And for the Padres it will be Kevin Correia who is 4-4 with an ERA of 4.57 with 38 Ks and 16 BBs. Garcia is going after a win by a starting pitcher which would be the first in five games. Will these pitching stats change anything with the MLB betting or the MLB Odds?

The Cardinals are delighted by the performance on Monday of Pujol and they hope it may begin a streak of hitting for him. At the same time the Padres are looking for their Start at first to correct the problems he has had playing at home and that he will break out of the slump on this road trip. Read more…

Houston Astros at Atlanta Braves Showdown

April 30th, 2010 Romer Cleaver No comments

The Houston Astros were one of the worst teams in the NL baseball betting last season but that slate was wiped clean when the 2010 MLB odds season got underway and the team is making the most of its opportunity. Picked by most baseball odds makers to finish at the bottom of the NL Central this team has been a pleasant surprise thus far in the sports betting (8-10) and is one of the hottest teams in baseball right now.

On April 30th the team will put its win streak on the line (3 wins in a row) when it heads to Atlanta to face the always competitive Braves. Atlanta has a strong starting rotation and one of the best young players in baseball betting in Jason Heyward but is in the midst of its worst slump of the young MLB odds action. Read more…

LA Dodgers @ NY Mets Betting Action

The New York Mets started the baseball betting season just like most sports wagering fans expected: terribly. After losing most of their games during the first two weeks of the MLB odd action something strange started to happen. The Mets started to win, and win some more and now, heading into the second game of three-game baseball betting series with the LA Dodgers the Mets have won four games in a row and will looking for a fifth straight victory.

This is something quite unusual for this team which has suffered through one disappointing season after another during the past few MLB betting seasons. Last in particular was awful for NY Mets fans as the team was among the worst in the NL baseball betting. But after acquiring a few free agent bats in the off season and keeping their pitching staff healthy the Mets are finally playing a like with the front office hoped it would be when it put together this gazillion dollar payroll. A-Rod destined to bring sucess to the 2010 Season

April 26th, 2010 Romer Cleaver No comments

No player in all of baseball betting has received more attention from the media for activities off the field than A-Rod. He’s the highest paid player in not just baseball wagering but in all of sports betting. He dates high profile celebrities, lives in the biggest media market in MLB betting and in case anyone forgot is also an admitted user of steroids.

So while it’s quite understandable why the baseball betting public (or at least the people who buy newspapers and magazines) are fascinated by A-Rods behavior both on the baseball wagering diamond and off it this massive spotlight has no doubt been a distraction to the player. Read more…

Baseball Betting – Phillies at Braves MLB Odds

April 21st, 2010 Romer Cleaver No comments

Only several weeks into the new baseball betting season and some division rivalries are already starting to look like MLB playoff betting series. Perhaps that’s an exaggeration, but you can expect plenty of intensity when the Philadelphia Phillies travel to Atlanta to take on the Braves in game two of this MLB odds series.

Philadelphia (8-4), the defending NL champs are off to a great start to the 2010 ML betting season and are likely an even better team this season than they were last baseball betting season. The reason of course is the addition of ace Roy Halladay who has been dominating NL batters so far in his brief stint as the Phillies’ MLB betting ace. Read more…
