There is hope for the New York Mets in Baseball Betting

New York MetsThere is perhaps no more thankless job in baseball betting than being a New York Mets fans. Let’s face it this franchise has had very little success in the MLB odds competition and has found ever new and inventive ways of losing in recent baseball wagering seasons. And thanks to its cross-town neighbors success in the MLB odds the Mets franchise will always be the neglected team, the red-headed stepchild of New York baseball gambling.

Last season may have been the low point of the team’s recent sports betting failures as the team limped (quiet literally) to a 70-92 record and finished fourth in the five team NL East. But last year was an aberration in the MLB odds competition even for the perennially poor Mets. Read more…

Tampa Bay, Baseball Betting and the League

Tampa Bay RaysWhen it comes to baseball betting the spring training leagues are not much more than a warm up –a highly enjoyable and entertaining warm up, but a warm up nonetheless. The same is true of the action on the field: it’s not quite MLB odds caliber competition but it’s still pretty good. Last year, with expectations as big as they’ve ever been in the franchise’s brief baseball wagering history; the team fell well short of reaching their goals or even reaching the MLB betting postseason for that matter. Toronto Blue JaysFor the past several years Roy Halladay has been the face the of the Toronto Blue Jays franchise. And with good reason as he’s been as consistent and as successful as just about any pitcher in baseball betting during his tenure with the Jays. But “Doc” Halladay has left the building that era (as well as any realistic shot at MLB odds success in ’10) is over.

Halladay was the most coveted player baseball available this off-season the Phillies offered a king’s ransom to bring him to the City of Brotherly Love and improve their already very good prospects in the MLB odds. But while hopes are high in Philly, baseball betting fans north of the border cannot be pleased. Read more…

Baseball Betting – This could be the Texas Rangers year

March 22nd, 2010 No comments

Texas RangersNo team in the Big Leagues seems to be destined to be the perennial runner up as as the Texas Rangers. This is a team that has all the talent in the world but somehow always seems to come up short in terms of reaching the baseball betting playoffs. But with a new MLB odds season on the horizon and the clean baseball betting slate, this could finally be the year.

In the 2009 season the Rangers jumped out to a big lead in the AL West only to see the LA Angels claw their way back in to contention and the Rangers (87-75), as usual, found a way to flounder down the stretch and finished the MLB odds season in 2nd place in the division and miss out on the baseball betting post-season yet again.
