This weekend the Mariners of the American League and the Padres of the National League will be one of the many teams playing in inter league play. This Inter League play will be in two parts with a three game series this present weekend and the second part will from the 11th thru the 27th of June. P.

The Starting pitchers will be Lefthander Cliff Lee for the Mariners who is 1-2 with an ERA of 2.08 and for the Padres it will be Lefthander Wade LeBlanc, who is 2-1 with and ERA of 1.54. A reminder that Lee is a 2008 AL Cy Young winner and has given NL teams a lot of discomfort during his tenure there. A new addition to the Mariners staff, Lee has looked very sharp in his first four outings.

It’s a little difficult to figure why the bookies are favoring the Mariners in this game
because they are at the bottom of all AL West team standings. The upgrade is because the team just yesterday rallied in the ninth inning against the Toronto sending in three runs and winning the game 4-3.

The Mariners are the favorites as they are at home and their record there is 9-11 so far this MLB season, while the Padres on the road are at 12-8 thus far. These stats tend to give the Mariners a 54 % possibility for taking this match-up , so it will certainly make for a change for MLB betting fans as well as movement for the MLB Odds in place as this is a very weak evaluation considering all statistics.
The Padres and the Mariners Stats:
The Padres are: 24-17 SU
The Mariners are: 15-26 SU
The Padres lately:
While playing Friday’s they are 7-3
Before they played the Mariners they were 2-8
After they played the Dodgers they are 3-7
After their last loss they are 7-3

The Mariners lately:
While playing Friday’s they are 4-6
Before they played the Padres they were 7-3
After they played Toronto they are 6-4
After their last win they are 5-5
The Next Game is:
Mariners at home vs. the Padres, on Saturday, May 22

MLB Odds Makers have the lines at present for the Mariners at -1 ½ (+130) and the Padres at +1 ½ (-150) and the Total – Over 6 ½ (+105) and the under 6 ½ (-125) and the Mariners are -163 and the Padres are + 153 on the Money Line.

The Rays are 29-11 while the Yankees are 25-15 after last nights win by the Rays over the Yankees 10-6, as they won their 7th game out of the last 8 games played. In doing so
They have recorded the leagues 4th best record thru 40 games that is held over the last 40 years of baseball. This can sure move the MLB Betting lines and MLB Odds.

The pitching for tonight game will be Andy Pettitte the Yankees pitcher of fame who is 5-0 and with an ERA of 1.79. For the Rays they will start James Shields who is 4-1 with and ERA of 3.00.

The Rays are on a stretch of 20 games in 20 days and so far they are 1/3 thru that schedule, with 13 games left to play. The Rays pitcher Shield has 38 strikeouts over his last 4 games and has only walked 2 batters for the same period. He claims to have four major pitches that he can throw to either side of home plate so that can complicated things for the opponents if he uses them properly.

The Yankees of late are having problems with their line up due to injuries. That puts a lot of pressure on Ramiro Pena who is back up to several infield positions, and also is used on occasions as a catcher and in the outfield. I’m sure they are glad to have that guy sitting on the bench.

The Yankees normally would be favorites as they are at home and their record there is 13-5 so far this MLB season while the Rays on the road are a fantastic 16-4 thus far. These stats tend to give the Rays and the Yankees both a 45- 55 % for taking this game, so it’s a toss and will certainly show concern from MLB betting fans as well as movement for the MLB Odds in place.
The Rays and the Yankees Stats:
The Rays are: 29-11 SU
The Yankees are: 25-15 SU
The Rays lately are:
While playing on Thursday’s they are 3-7
Before they played Houston they were 2-4
After they played the Yankees they are 3-7
After their last win they are 8-2

The Yankees lately are:
While playing Thursday’s they are 7-3
Before they played the Mets they were 7-3
After they played the Rays they are 8-2
After their last loss they are 6-4
The Next Game is:
The Rays at the Astros, on Friday, May 21

AL Central fans will be feasting on some quality baseball betting when the Detroit Tigers play host to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday April 28th. This is one the classic rivalries in the MLB odds action over the past decade and features not only two of the best teams in the AL Central betting competition but two of the pre-season baseball odds favorites to contend for the AL pennant.

And for sports betting fans that life bet on stars, there will also be plenty of those in this intriguing MLB betting matchup. From the plate to the mound MLB betting alls stars such as Miguel Cabrera, Joe Mauer, Justin Verlander, etc pepper both lineups.

The Twins enter this baseball betting matchup in first place in the AL Central with a 14-6 record. Minnesota has actually been one of the best teams in the MLB odds action through the first month of the baseball wagering action and has the second best record in baseball, behind only the Tampa Bay Rays (15-5).

The Tigers currently reside in second place in the AL Central standings (11-10), a distant 3.5 games back and love to close the gap with a few wins or even a MLB betting sweep against the Twinkies.

The Twins will send Scott Baker to the mound in Game 2 of this three game baseball betting series. Baker has been less than remarkable with a 2-2 record and a 4.81 ERA. He’s been hit hard by opponents early this MLB betting season and the Tigers sluggers will likely find a way to get some wood on the ball.

Detroit has the better pitcher in this baseball odds matchup with the newly acquired Max Scherzer on the hill. Scherzer has a1-1 record and an impressive 2.63 ERA.

In Game one the Twins won on the enemy’s field with Francisco Liriano taking away a 2-0 shutout win. In Wednesday’s Game 2 expect the home team to bounce back. It’s rare that this powerful Tigers lineup is held scoreless and you can expect an explosion of runs for the Tigers in front of the home town crowd.

Off to the best start in its 13-year history, the Rays (15-5) beat the Athletics 8-6 on Tuesday to match the club record for wins in April. Owners of the majors’ best record, the Rays have won 12 of 14 and continue to produce at the plate.

The Athletics hope Dallas Braden (3-0, 2.77 ERA) can cool off the Rays bats and continue his success against the Rays. Braden is 3-1 with a 3.86 ERA in five starts against the Rays, including 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three at Tropicana Field. The Athletics need a victory to guarantee a winning month of April for the first time since 2008 and only the second time in the past seven seasons.

Though the Rays James Shields (2-0, 3.96) hasn’t been as consistent as Braden through four starts, he’ll try for a third consecutive win when he takes the ball in this contest. Let’s see if the Ray’s can continue their streak tonight in Tampa!
Present win streak:
The Rays have won 3 straight games.
The Athletics and Rays Stats:
The Athletics: 12-9 SU
The Rays: 15-5 SU
While playing Wednesday’s they are 5-5
Before playing the Athletics they were 6-4
After playing the Athletics they are 4-6
After a win they are now 8-2
Next Game:
The Rays at home vs Kansas City, Thursday, April 29
The Rays are 6-4 at home this season and the Athletics are 3-4 on the road this season. This is a close match-up with both teams having a 45 to 55 percent chance of winning.

The New York Mets are currently playing host to the LA Dodgers in an intriguing NL baseball series in the Big Apple. It probably comes as little surprise that one of these teams is in last place in their MLB odds division, but might surprise is which team. The Mets, coming off a horrendous 2009 MLB betting season and a rotten start to the 2010 baseball wagering season have actually climbed out their hole and currently sit second in the NL East.

It’s the LA Dodgers that are in last place of their baseball betting division. At 8-10 this is not where the Dodgers wanted to be after a month of MLB odds action and this team is trying to pull back into contention in a very competitive NL West. Surprisingly the San Diego Padres (11-7) have snatched the early lead in the NL West betting competition but only three games separate the first place team from the last place team.

The Mets have pulled to within 1.5 games of the NL East leading Phillies and by the time this baseball betting matchup could be in first place of the division. The Mets are the hottest team in the MLB odds right now with a four-game win streak in the baseball odds action. For the first time in over a year the team’s bets have finally come alive and free agent pickups Jason Bay and Jeff Francoeur have been crucial to the team’s current success. The Mets pitching has also been on track of late with Mike Pelfry putting together the best start of his career. Through five baseball betting games he’s 4-0 with a .69 ERA, 26 inning pitched and 19 Ks.

The Dodgers have been erratic all season long and have earned their spot in the NL West cellar. Matt Kemp (7 HR 20 RBIs) has been on fire so far in the young MLB betting season but he hasn’t had a great deal of help at the plate. Manny Ramirez has been disappointing and no doubt the fans in New York will be all over him.

The Mets have played well at home (8-5) and look to as good as any team in the MLB odds right now. It would be hard to bet against them in this baseball betting matchup.
